Many years ago, as a younger artist, I fell in love with the extraordinary freedom of creating art eliminating standard structures and accepted modes of display. Deciding I would make art with immediacy, just as I saw it, and never look back to rules and systems, allowed me to create what sometimes seemed impossible and unacceptable. It inspires me and has brought the joy of seeing beyond borders to my practice.
